Adult Dutch

It is said that the Dutch Rabbit originated in
Holland sometime around 1850 where it was
called the Hollander Rabbit.  It found its way
to England in 1864 where its popularity rose
and was then exported to points around the
world.  The Dutch is one of the oldest breeds
of domestic rabbit known, owing its existence,
as do all domestic rabbits, to the much earlier
domestication of the European wild rabbit, or
(true rabbit).
The adult dutch rabbit weighs about 4 -5 1/2
pounds.  The dutch rabbit is one of the most
popular pet rabbits due to their gorgeous
distinctive markings.  They are little
characters.  They are very sweet and  make
wonderful pets for children and adults alike!
I no longer breed Dutch Bunnies.
